There was a girl named Sophie McDaid, now listen here, she isn’t a girl like any other, and no before you ask, this isn’t about relationship relationship, it’s about a strong bond of friendship broken by a vast amount of sea.
Heres the story
I didn’t expect the future here of what would happen, but it happened, I saw her during a drama class, she just moved from a different state, new to the school, she sat their with another great friend of mine, Shona. They sat there and watched me hoping I would be in their group, Sophie wanted to befriend me, she saw something in me that just made her happy, as I saw her, I saw something that i’ve never seen in any other person.
I saw greatness, loyalty, something no one else has, she became that person I could trust with anything, and she still is, when I can get a hold of her though, she moved to England, with a major time difference making it hard to communicate to one another.
I told her secrets, I trusted her with things she still hasn’t told anyone. The day she was leaving she gave me a little box, I didn’t want to look inside it but I did, there sat a small glistening dragon, it’s name, Gadzooks
That night I sat in my room heartbroken, tears flowing, I don’t care if you find this ‘unmanly’ I just lost someone that can’t be replaced, someone that meant the world to me, I sat there and thought, no, I won’t lose her.
So from then on occasionally we get to talk, I know it’s not very fun, but the faith is still there, we will always be friends, one day I will cross paths with her, reunite, tackle her, hug her, never let go, never again will I lose something like that.
I love you Sophie.
I really do.
